Be still our beating heart – we’ve fallen in love. The object of our desire: Oggetti Designs. (Oggetti means object in Italian) Located in the 4141 building, the mutli-line showroom carries a selection of some of the chicest furniture, lightening and accessories for the home that we’re coveting.
If the name Oggetti Designs sounds familiar it might be because Oggetti was originally founded by Miami locals Robert and Nancy Frehling and has been making its mark on the design world ever since. In 1975 the Frehlings began creating a collection of furniture, home décor and lightening under the Ogetti brand available to the trade. As the brand grew, in the 2003 they opened a showroom in Design District. Ten years later, Oggetti moved a few blocks down to its current location, got a mini makeover and opened Oggetti Designs to the public.
The open, modern and contemporary space is home to brands that are in line with a similar aesthetic. When it comes to furniture, expect to find everything from sofas by Oggetti as well as designers Vito Selma, Dellarobbia and Planum Also in-store coffee and occasional tables, bedroom and dining furniture, and plenty of seating options, too.
Oggetti lighting has always been inspired by Murano glass and still pays homage to the Italian design. The store also features a blend of modern and more traditional sconces, overhead lighting and floor lamps to illuminate any space.
When it comes to accessories, it was love at first sight. From the uber-cool Alexandra Von Furstenberg multi-color acrylic trays, picture frames and treasure boxes, to chic wall art and Rani Arabella cashmere skull pillows, if you need a gift or simply something to spruce up the home, this is the place to find something.
With new items constantly arriving, we know this love affair will never end.
