The 2026 MICHELIN Guide Florida debuted early this summer, and seven Miami Design District restaurants made the list: two stars for L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, one star each for Le Jardinier and COTE Miami, and Bib Gourmands for Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, El Turco, and Mandolin Aegean Bistro.
Four Stars Within a Few Blocks
L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is still the only two-star restaurant in Miami, a distinction it has held for five consecutive years. The counter seats along the open kitchen offer front-row views of the team plating seared scallops in cilantro broth with coconut foam, or halibut in a wasabi-lime champagne emulsion. Save room for le chocolat sensation.

The same address holds another star. Le Jardinier, chef Alain Verzeroli’s garden-leaning French dining room, kept its one-star rating with the cooking inspectors have praised since 2022: butternut squash ravioli in a brown butter emulsion, seared Hudson Valley foie gras with cherry, and a rotating lineup of plant-based ice creams and sorbets.

At COTE Miami, Simon Kim’s one-star Korean steakhouse, the inspectors describe the space as “a temple to beautifully marbled and aged beef.” Order the Butcher’s Feast – a parade of prime cuts, banchan, and two stews – and add the kimchi Wagyu paella if you’re feeling extra decadent.

The Bib Gourmands
The Bib Gourmand, Michelin’s award for great cooking at a great value, went to three District favorites again this year.
Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, James Beard award-winner Michael Schwartz’s neighborhood anchor, has earned one every year since the first Florida guide. Nearly two decades in, the wood oven still anchors the menu: house-made pastas, pizzas, and the pan-roasted chicken that have been staples since the beginning.

El Turco picked up its fifth straight Bib for its Turkish cooking – handcrafted manti dumplings, baked-in-house borek, and beef meatballs simmering in tomato sauce. Its Design District location in the heart of Palm Court puts all of its steps from the stores.

Mandolin Aegean Bistro rounds out the trio with the Greek and Turkish cooking it serves on its famous garden terrace. The inspectors particularly loved the moussaka and the grilled whole sea bass, with dessert and a Turkish coffee to close.

Miami leads Florida in Michelin recognition, and no neighborhood packs in more of it than the Miami Design District with four stars and a trio of Bib Gourmands within a few walkable blocks, between the boutiques and the public art.
