Join ICA Miami in person on August 20 for the mini-symposium culminating the Art + Research Center (A+RC) summer seminar, examining the relationship between energy regimes and cultural production across Latin America and its diasporas. The program focuses on how energy systems have shaped artistic practice throughout the region.
Attendees will hear from Santiago Acosta, Assistant Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Yale University, and Victoria Saramago, Associate Professor of Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Studies at the University of Chicago. Each speaker will share original research connecting energy history to the region’s literature and visual culture.
