David Castillo was the incubator for its represented artists, all of whom began their careers with the gallery. In the last year, over 100 international museums have exhibited their work, including notable solo exhibitions. These exhibitions have included: Guggenheim Museum (New York), Tate Modern (London), Reina Sofia (Madrid), The Museum of Modern Art (New York), Centre Pompidou (Paris), The Smithsonian (Washington, D.C.), Los Angeles County Museum of Art (Los Angeles), as well as both the 60th Venice Biennale (2024) and the 59th Venice Biennale (2022) with a major presentation of Belkis Ayon, whose estate we have represented, guided and nurtured for over a decade.
David Castillo’s artists have sustained critical interest throughout the gallery’s twenty-year history. In the last year, 200 publications have written about the gallery and its artists, including significant newspapers and art publications.
