A thematic compliment to the Hermès flagship store, this relief sculpture was rescued by Craig Robins from the exterior of a hotel in Miami Beach before its demolition in 1995. Thought to have been crafted by Cuban-Italian sculptor Juan Stacholy (1920-1998), this powerful nymph rides two seahorses with her spear raised. The historic relief is exemplar of Miami’s 1950’s golden era ornamentation.
