London luxury label Manolo Blahnik is bringing its third United States store and first in Florida to Miami’s Design District, following its locations in Manhattan and East Hampton in New York. The store joins 20 worldwide, including flagships in London, Paris, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Blahnik called Miami's Design District “the perfect place” to open a boutique and complimented the area’s focus on design and craftsmanship. “I wanted to open my store in the Design District, because the area is full of beauty, the sculpture-filled plazas and striking architecture make it such a unique and dynamic place,” Blahnik said.
He shared in a statement that he stayed at the Miami Beach EDITION for a period of time in the early 2000s and was impacted by the city’s vibrance, influencing his decision to open a store there.
“The energy of Miami is fantastic; the people and the place are so welcoming,” Blahnik said. “The music and madness of Miami is really like no other place on earth; the Latin American Cuban influence is omnipresent which I just adore.”
Manolo Blahnik’s designer shoes are distributed in more than 270 stores across 30 countries throughout Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. The brand has racked up artistic and fashion accolades over the years. The late Queen Elizabeth II in 2007 presented Blahnik with an Honorary Commander of the British Empire (CBE) for his impact on British fashion. In 2024, the brand was recognized as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Retail, Hospitality and Leisure by Great Place to Work.
The Miami boutique is designed by British architect Nick Leith-Smith, who has worked with Manolo Blahnik since 2003. It pays homage to Miami’s Art Deco history with geometric shapes and bold monochromatic designs, in part inspired by Blahnik’s appreciation for Josef Hoffmann, a leading artist part of the Art Deco movement’s European origins.
“I am thrilled to be opening our newest boutique and our third in the United States, in Miami. The energy that radiates from the city is truly unmatched, and it has long been a dream of ours to be a part of this vibrant community,” said CEO Kristina Blahnik. “We look forward to welcoming new clients and loyal customers alike to our new home in the Design District.”
The location will feature 13 exclusive shoes in six different silhouettes. The coming capsules include the Maysale, a kitten-heeled mule first created for Isaac Mizrahi’s Spring 1991 fashion show. The Miami edition reimagines the heel with playful pink suede. The iconic 2013 style, the Chaos, is also featured with navy blue nappa leather and a coordinated gingham toe strap. The brand’s Spring 2025 collection will also be highlighted throughout the store.
