Beware: The streets of Miami are under attack! A stylish attack by an army of red-bottomed shoes, that is, thanks to the opening of the Christian Louboutin Men’s Store. That’s right, Gents, it’s time to enlist in operation red bottom because the famed sanguine sole maker, Christian Louboutin, opened a store just for guys. Located across the street from its sister store at 180 NE 40th Street, the Design District store opening marks one of three Christian Louboutin Men’s stores in the U.S., and sixth worldwide.
Step foot into the front of the store and find ornately designed interiors that rival the merchandise, like herringbone-patterned stone tiles walls that are flooded with natural sunlight. Walk further back into the gallery-like space and find leather, diamond-paneled walls that feature hand-embroidered shoe patterns form Mr. Louboutin’s own designs. Not to be missed is the Tattoo parlor. Yes, tattoos for shoes.
Make a personal choice or opt from one of Louboutin’s designs, either way customers can have a tattoo “expertly translated into bespoke embroideries” on one of five styles for men (and four styles for women).
Dapper Derbies? Yes. Studded Sneakers? Yes. Luxurious leather goods? Yes. The store is a mecca of all things fabulous for men. While the heel height may not be the same as the Louboutins for ladies, the style, sophistication and of course, the signature red bottom is.
Kicking off Fall (even if it still feels a tad more like summer), the Alfie Flat high top sneaker in white leather, burgundy suede and graphic patterned pony are part of the Fall/Winter 2013 collection now available in-store and is sure to be a front runner for chic feet.
