Here’s the latest from the runways at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week.
Just as we’re about to enter fall, New York Fashion Week brings the latest trends for spring to its catwalks. Here is a look at fashion’s latest coming up for next season.
Shimmer
From Zimmermann to Son Jung Wan, the catwalks were covered in metallic hues, iridescent sequins and other materials that catch the light just so. When dressing for upcoming spring, don’t be afraid to light the way.
Volume
When it comes to spring, think lovely layers. Zimmermann, Son Jung Wang, BCBG and Malan Breton went the more-is-more route by offering dresses and coats with fabric in abundance.
Made You Blush
The shade of the season? A kiss of color, a pinch of peach, a bit of blush. The kiss was seen on more than a few runways for spring 2015.
Black and White Wonders
Winners of the CFDA Award Public School went with a classic combo for spring 2015: Black and white. The pop to the collection came in cobalt, but it was the bnw combo that ruled the runway.
Get the Message Across
Backstage at Jason Wu, the bags came in a variety of colors and skins, but what tied them together was the shape, a simple crossbody for a hands-free bag experience.
Golden Touch
Also backstage at Jason Wu, the standout accessory was a gold, collar-like necklace. Simple, yet elegant, it brought a new take to the statement necklace trend.
