If you’ve yet to hit Miami’s hautest weekly farmer’s market, drop what you're doing and pop by Jungle Plaza immediately to check out the 40+ vendors selling local produce, specialty foods, artisan breads, and more. From tasty treats to luxe organic beauty products, The Market #atMDD is your new Wednesday place to be. We popped by and rounded up our list of five great market finds.
1. The most gorgeous organic local pineapples.
Well, the most gorgeous organic fruits and vegetables, period. Skip Whole Foods and opt instead for some of the freshest local produce in town. If you just want a quick snack, pick up a fresh cut fruit cup, or a yummy juice like The Pink Lady, a blend of watermelon, apple, and strawberries is a refreshing and sweet blend we love!
2. The prettiest acai bowls from SweetBlendz.
If you don’t ‘gram your acai bowl, did you even eat it? The Superhero Bowl, containing acai, strawberry, and blueberry, topped with granola, strawberry, banana, mango, chia seeds, hemp hearts, flax seeds, bee pollen, cacao nibs, and coconut is as IG-worthy as it is tasty. And, you know, good for you too.
3. Fresh lemonade from Double Portion Fresh Lemonade.
There’s nothing like fresh lemonade on a warm Miami afternoon! Made from fresh lemons, you’ll never be okay drinking Country Time Lemonade again. We also can’t help but love the lemon print shirts the gals at Double Portion Fresh Lemonade wear!
4. Adorable Succulent Terrariums.
We’re suckers for the flora! With a different assortment every week, get to the market right at 4 p.m. when it opens to get your choice of the best blooms. Orchids, bromeliads, fresh cut flowers, air plants, we love them all. Perhaps our favorite? The succulent terrariums. (For those of us with more of a black thumb.)
5. Kettlecorn that’ll make your tastebuds explode from Incredible Kettle Corn.
You’ve never had kettle corn ‘til you’ve tried Incredible Kettle Corn. Try the bright raspberry/blueberry flavor, which tastes like Cap’n Crunch cereal. If you’re feeling dangerous, give the spicy flavor a whirl. If you’re more of a traditionalist, opt for the classic Kettle Corn flavor.
