Miami Design District has created something special in its New Orleans food hall, St. Roch Market, and that’s “variety.” Made up of 12 chef-driven concepts (from craft coffee and vegan desserts, to Vietnamese sandwiches, fresh-made pasta, Latin-inspired tacos and a taste of Israel), this must-try spot offers all the flavors of the Magic City in a way every diner is sure to love.

The hardest part about eating there? Knowing where to go and what to order. Figure out what you’re hungry for, and follow our guide below to know exactly how to curb that craving. Bon appétit!

...When you want to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Go to: Chef Chloe and the Vegan Cafe
Chloe Coscarelli first got on our radar when she won Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, and has stayed on it since she made eating vegan food cool again. At her St. Roch outpost, curb your sugar craving with one of her sweet plant-based snacks: like sea salt chocolate chunk cookies, chocolate strawberry cupcakes, sprinkle doughnut holes or coconut bowls with frozen matcha.

...When you need a quick lunch.
Go to: Hot Lime Craft Tacos & Ceviche Bar
Hot Lime is the story of three South Florida locals who became best friends, spent years working in the restaurant industry and share a passion for tacos. Unlike your typical taco stand, expect to taste the different flavors of Miami, from Peruvian tacos with smoked corvina ceviche, Argentine tacos with sautéed shrimp and chile de arbol garlic sauce, and made-to-order guac.

...When you want breakfast on-the-go.
Go to: Sweetblendz
Get a healthy start to your morning with cold pressed juices, smoothies and çaí bowls, like the Super Hero bowl with blended berries, coconut milk, spirulina, granola, fresh fruit, chia seeds, hemp hearts, flax seeds, cocoa nibs and—you read that right—bee pollen.

...Because it’s time for that 3:05 caffeine fix.
Go to: Sabal Coffee
In Miami, there’s no such thing as a workday without an afternoon coffee break, and those who work in the Design District can get it at St. Roch. At this craft coffee shop, find everything from espresso-based drinks, ready-brew, cold-brew and single-origin pour-overs, to hand-selected iced and hot teas from Miami favorite, JoJo Tea.

...When you want to impress your colleagues, but don’t want to break the bank.
Go to: Yuzu or Itamae
Yuzu is brought to us by Miami-born chef Andrew Zarzosa, who trained at the three-Michelin-star Alinea, and serves creative bites like petite foie gras dumplings in a light citrus, ginger and yuzu shoyu sauce. Itamae, on the other hand, is an Asian-Peruvian concept that fuses sushi staples, like sashimi and nigiri, with Latin flavors like leche de tigre and ají amarillo. It goes without saying that neither are your typical food hall stands.

...When you deserve a cheat meal.
Go to: Coop
Because after a week of pumping iron at DBC Fitness, you deserve something fried. We recommend the 25-hour-brined fried chicken on a cheddar-chive waffle from this Southern-inspired spot, which is sure to put you in an immediate food coma.

....When it’s time for dinner.
Go to: Dal Plin
Massimo and Elisabetta Tundo, two pastamakers from Milan, came to Fort Lauderdale with a dream: to make the best pasta on the east coast. Now supplying fresh pasta to top Florida restaurants and Michelin-star haunts throughout the U.S. (and snagging a Sofi Silver Award from NYC’s Fancy Food Show for their signature truffle pasta), I think it’s safe to say they’ve done just that. Go to their first-ever restaurant concept at St. Roch, Dal Pin, for their made-from-scratch pastas and pastries, and be sure to try the gnudi toscani: gnocchi-like spinach dumplings with a ricotta cheese base, drizzled in a creamy white sauce.

...When the clock strikes 5, and it’s time for a cocktail.
Go to: The Mayhaw
Sitting right in the heart of the food hall, you can’t miss The Mayhaw, a standalone bar brought to us by New Orleans mixologist Derek Brumfield. There’s a dedicated 55-bottle wine list and plenty of bespoke Prohibition-era to tiki cocktails to try, but at the end of a workweek, the Cantarita is sure to set you straight into the weekend. It’s a mix of tequila, grapefruit, habañero and a spritz of lemon.

...For a snack you won’t feel guilty about.
Go to: Jaffa
Yaniv Cohen is an Israeli-born private chef and the culinary director of Shiraz Events, and with his latest concept, he’s brought Miami a taste of his homeland. Cohen runs a blog, The Spice Detective, where he explores the medicinal benefits of spices (a casual passion of his), and you can expect to find them in many of his Jaffa staples: like turmeric-roasted cauliflower, roasted carrots with labneh, hummus and more.

...When you want to be adventurous.
Go to: Tran An
This Vietnamese eatery is the brainchild of Chef Jon Nguyen—previously of the two-Michelin-Star restaurant, The Modern—and is inspired by both his grandfather and his hometown of Hanoi. The restaurant is actually named after his grandfather, and here, you can find an interesting twist on the flavors of the Vietnamese capital: like chicken pho, salads, snack plates and banh mi with bbq pork, lemongrass sausage, shaking beef, seasoned shrimp chips and more.

...Because you really, really like crab cakes.
Go to: Elysian Seafood
In a seafood-centric city like New Orleans, Elysian is where you go to get some of the best; and now, Miami gets a taste of it, too. Joining the team is Miami veteran Mo Tzovaras, of Danny Serfer’s Blue Collar and Mignonette, and on the menu, guests will find fresher-than-fresh seafood plates and the spot’s raved about crab cakes, which are doused in a charred scallion cream.

St. Roch Market is located at 140 NE 39th Street, Suite 241. Valet is available throughout the Miami Design District, and a public parking garage is connected to Palm Court.
