Mercato Opens

It's fitting that as the 12th Annual South Beach Wine and Food Festival gets under way that we in the Design District welcome our latest epicurean delight, Mercato. The small, Italian cafe is adjacent to Dena Marino's MC Kitchen. Diners will find everything is freshly made including croissants, Roaring Forties cheese apricot nut scones, bread, espresso chocolate chip cookies, boston cream pie donuts with fresh cream from Dakin Dairy. And the savory side there are salads and sandwiches like fresh albacore tuna salad and shaved porcetta Cuban sanwiches. You can also grab fresh berries, fruit, yogurt, coffees, gourmet chips, and artisanal chocolates

Miuccia Prada herself hand-picked Prada's best, timeless dresses, jackets, coats, tops, and more. From the game-changing 2008 black lace dress to the Gladiator and Tulip collections fashion devotees have a few days to visit Prada in the Miami Design District to score their own piece of Italian art.
