What's the first piece of art you fell in love with? Impressionist paintings are my favorites. Monet’s “Reflections of Clouds on the Water-Lily Pond” most inspires me. Who are your favorite designers? Carolina Herrera, Karl Lagerfeld, Martin Margiela, Jill Sander and Yves St. Laurent. What is the best piece of style advice you've ever heard? Never over-do! Who are your favorite writers? Maya Angelou, William Faulkner, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemmingway and Rumi. What is inspiring you these days? Nature continues to inspire my everyday life and my artwork. What is your motto? Live life fully today, as if it was your last. What is your favorite indulgence? A day filled with rest and relaxation. What do you consider your greatest achievement? Arriving to America from the Middle East and achieving success as a photographer. What career other than your own would you like to attempt? To have become an architect had I started earlier in life. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My strong character: I tend to either love or hate. Rather, I would like to learn to become more dispassionate.
