Mendez Vela is thrilled to show the works of acclaimed Cuban artist, Josignacio and introduce for the first time to Miami, artist Christopher Roddick. The combination of these two forces celebrates their own unique method of layered forms and bold colors while bringing a mature and fresh perspective to Miami Art Week. Josignacio’s trademark technique, which blends epoxy resins with pigments for coloration, results in a one-of-a-kind, new visual, 3D effect. This approach has been aptly described as “the marriage of art and technology”.
Roddick, a Brazilian-born artist, presents his signature style of mixing various subjects, with strong layering techniques. His latest series reflects more of his Latin heritage with vibrant energy with a distinctive edge of depth and dimension.
