Join us for our Annual Earth Day Landscape Design Tour led by Carl Lewis, Director & Jason Downing, Orchid Biologist of Fairchild Gardens along with Nathan Browning, Principal and Spencer Woodard, Ethnobotanist of Island Planning Corporation.
This year we are especially thrilled to unveil over 100 QR code plates strategically positioned throughout the District. Each QR code leads you to a fact sheet of the flora. The Rooted by Design project was done in collaboration with our partners Fairchild Garden and Island Planning Corporation to allow everyone to get a deeper understanding of what makes the District so unique. Come out and learn more about the purposeful masterplan of our neighborhood landscaping in a walking tour with our landscape designer and botanists, to understand the benefits, the ecosystem, and collaborations behind this rare urban oasis.
Nature has always been at the core of our neighborhood’s DNA. Each tree has a story, and many minds at work to bring the flourishing environment of flora and fauna we all enjoy today.
Our tour will begin promptly at Paradise Plaza 151 NE 41st Ave. at 11AM.
