GOODMAN GALLERY | 3841 NE 2nd Ave

Goodman Gallery returns to the Miami Design District for the third year, taking over a large space in the iconic Buick Building. The seasonal pop-up gallery showcases blue chip works with a focus on artists hailing from or with connections to the Global South. Featured artists: ruby onyinyechi amanze, Ghada Amer, El Anatsui, Carlos Garaicoa, David Goldblatt, Nicholas Hlobo, Alfredo Jaar, Remy Jungerman, William Kentridge, Kapwani Kiwanga, and Naama Tsabar.

DAVID CASTILLO | 3930 NE 2nd Avenue, Suite 201

David Castillo presents "In Search of Solitude", Vaughn Spann’s third solo exhibition with the gallery. In his powerfully evocative, painterly vocabulary, Spann synthesizes abstracted textures and forms into symbols, histories, and subjectivities that push against the boundaries of painting as a carrier of meaning. "In Search of Solitude" expands upon the artist’s approach and positions painting as a site of personal and collective contemplation. The richly textured surfaces of the artist’s works bear the gravity of his own introspections about the contemporary moment. And in an instance of respite, seclusion, and reflection, Spann invites his audience to confront the work with their own forms of meaning. "In Search of Solitude" proposes a moment of observance, alone or in unity, to reflect upon timeless yet highly personal histories and experiences that resonate loudly in our moment.

CORAL CONTEMPORARY | 3806 NE 1st Ave

Coral Contemporary Gallery presents “The Awakening Garden: A Journey of Sea, Land and Beyond”, the first solo exhibition in the US of Magdalena Trucco. The show features a series of paintings and three-dimensional works that immerse the viewer into the experience of an enchanted sea-forest.

SWAMPSPACE | 3940 North Miami Ave

Swampspace celebrates the opening reception for Swampy’s Souvenir Gift Shop, a pop-up installation featuring eclectic items from Florida history and art-centric collectables that celebrate diversity in Miami. From the River of Grass to the local urban vernacular, Swampy’s selection of collectables is a treasure trove of memorabilia from the dynamic wellspring. Browse through our library of books, vintage postcards and posters. Groove to the tunes of Miami music. Marvel at the plethora of unique artifacts by local makers; crafts, photography, jewelry, and fashionable indigenous garments made in South Florida. Tap into the local scene with concierge advice from Swampy’s 305 Visitor Information Center. Support the local environmental efforts by giving a charitable donation to help save the Everglades and Biscayne National Park. Take home a few souvenirs as mementos of your time in the tropical cosmopolitan destination loved the world over.

GALERIES BARTOUX | 127 NE 40th St
