Please join Ardent Projects at Dale Zine to celebrate the release of their 5th issue, “In Rhythm with the Tides”, and the opening of the namesake exhibition featuring works by the Miami-based photographer Martina Tuaty.
The publication and accompanying exhibition present an ongoing body of photographic work rooted in Miami, reflecting on temporality, quotidian rhythms, and human connection. In a city perpetually in flux—where cultural, architectural, and social landscapes are in constant negotiation—Tuaty’s inquiry turns toward the overlooked and the slowly unfolding, with images foregrounding deceleration: the long-awaited mango season, the extended summertime, the repaint jobs on an abandoned building, and the slow drift of shadows as the day goes by. These photographs suggest a contemplative space that explores subtle shifts and intimate acts of observation; they propose slowness and presence as modes of resistance, and as strategies for fostering connection within a rapidly evolving urban environment.
