The second edition of Artistic License is generously sponsored by DACRA, Miami Design District and organized by Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Division of Academic Support, Visual and Performing Arts and Dade Art Educators Association. We are honored to invite you to a reception Saturday, February 21, to honor the 2015 artists: Ray Azcuy, Patricia Cummins, Edouard Duval- Carrié, Ivonne Ferrer, Charles Gaffney, Charles E. Humes Jr., William Kidd, Shelly McCoy, Aldo Menendez, Ernesto Montes, Linda Oldenburg, Julie Orsini Shakher, Brian Reedy, Alexander Richard Carbonell, Catherine Rivera, Alina Rojo, and Carlos Sanjurjo.

We acknowledge the support of our patrons: DACRA, Miami Design District, Perez Art Museum (PAMM), Miami Dade Youth Fair, CQ Gallery, Frost Art Museum, Pinecrest Gardens, Jerry’s Artarama, Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, Gary Hunt Signs, and PATH. We thank Tiffany Chesler, Art Director of Cultural Events, Miami Design District and Stacey de la Grana, Director Ocean Bank Center for presiding as judges. The judges decisions were based on the artist’s achievement and the overall consistency of their body of work. Judges look for a personal vision, innovation, and creative risk taking articulated in the artist’s oeuvre. The three best in show are: Brian Reedy, Charles E. Humes Jr., and William Kidd, with Carlos Sanjurjo as Honorable Mention.
