2015 Pritzker Architecture Prize winner, Frei Otto is known for elevating the tensile structure. His saddle-shaped pavilion created for the Federal Garden Exposition in Kassel Germany in the fifties, was reproduced to honor the late architect. The re-created tent was conceived and overseen by Pritzker Prize winner, Shigeru Ban. The Miami Design District is honored to share Otto’s legacy of innovation.
