This month, Valentino reemerged in Miami Design District with an exquisite reopening in grand Italian style. Previously located on the ground level entering the central Fly Eye Dome, Valentino’s new location is now positioned directly beside it.
Taking center stage at the Maison’s new storefront is the concept of Italian hospitality. In fact, the store is meant to offer a design and experiential-driven journey, with the store serving as an intimate place to welcome its clients. This is achieved through its interior and architectural design, which are a reflection of the brand’s attention to fresh and creative excellence.
Nodding to Valentino’s heritage in Rome, where the brand was born in 1960, Valentino Miami Design District brings an aesthetically Roman experience to Miami. Upscale and intentional interior design envelopes the store from floor to ceiling, with ceramic tiles covering the façade, and floors are composed of a combination of Botticino and Marquina marbles in black and white with mint green onyx accents. Visually, clients move between the geometric motif flooring and into complementary black wood, which contributes to the sense of warmth, elegance, and discreet luxury. Supple leather ottomans, curved lighting, deep green textiles, and pale green marble tables add to the elegant design,
Naturally, Italian artisans were also enlisted for the store redesign, bringing an added layer of cultural authenticity and craftsmanship. Milan-based artist Massimiliano Pipolo created handmade ceramic door handles, characterized by organic shapes suspended between functionality and abstraction, while set designer, and frequent Valentino collaborator, Fabio Cinti, was tasked with creating geometric compositions in brass.
Valentino Miami Design District boutique will also soon host the Pavillon des Folies collection. Currently, customers can peruse the brand’s ready-to-wear (men’s and women’s), accessories, eyewear, and fragrances across the Valentino Avant les Débuts and Valentino Garavan labels.
Visit the boutique at 140 NE 40th Street.
