Fall is just around the corner, though it won’t feel that way in Miami for months to come. When we do finally get that blissful breeze of autumn, here’s what we can look forward to wearing, color-wise.

The Good Dose of Grey
Dubbed the new neutral, it was only a matter of time before grey got the glory it deserves. Alexander Wang showed the shade in jackets and below-the-knee skirts. Proenza Schouler showed structured and oversized coats, while Oscar de la Renta did grey in an over-the-top hooded capelet. While we won’t be wearing capes or coats anytime soon here in Miami, a grey skirt can anchor any outfit.

Go Green
Green isn’t just a movement, it’s a statement shade for fall. Taking an army-inspired approach, fall greens showed on the runways of Philip Lim and Prabal Gurung, where the latter outfitted his model is a peplum shaped version of the shade. Calvin Klein opted for a patent-leather finish on an over-sized trench.  A great pair of army green pants can easily become a go-to this fall.

Basic Black and White
The color combo that made its mark last fall and stuck around for spring and summer shows no signs of retiring this autumn. Dior showed the shades in structured separates. Giambattista Valli paired a black dress with a white peplum punch. And Balenciaga did a basic black baggy pant with a winter white jacket, also ripe with structure. Try it in a tuxedo jacket for maximum wear this fall and winter.

Join the Navy
The runways had a case of the blues at Chloe and Marni. The shade mostly took the shape of oversized outerwear, think pea coats and trenches, some even trimmed in fur. Prabal Gurung, Lanvin and Derek Lam did navy from head to toe with skirts, pants, blouses and belts boasting the blue hue. Opt for a blue bag and heels for a new take on a basic bag and shoe.
