It’s almost time to say goodbye to 2013 and some of the best spots in all of Miami to ring in 2014 are right here in the Design District.
Oak Tavern is kicking off the New Year with the Mad Hatter’s Ball, a party based on the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland, where guests are encouraged to don their most extravagant headwear. Priced at $75 per person (excludes beverages, tax and gratuity), the event will feature a three course prix-fixe dinner, and will end with a Champagne toast at midnight. The evening will also feature specialty cocktails, musical sounds by DJ Benton, and prizes for the best hats. Guests may order items from the prix fixe menu at the bar á la carte and the restaurant’s regular menu will be served from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
At Egg & Dart it will start 2014 with a three-course, classic Greek feast filled with restaurant favorites such as Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Grilled Lamb chops and Branzino. The night will also feature a midnight Champagne toast, and after dinner it’ll host a premium open bar from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. with DJ Nikki spinning Mediterranean lounge beats late into the evening. Dinner packages start at $125 per person (excluding tax and gratuity).
For those looking for á la carte choices both Michael’s Genuine Food and Drink and The Cypress Room will be serving their popular menus all evening long. At Cypress Room guests can also choose between two different tasting menus with three-course and five-course options and at midnight guests can celebrate with a complimentary champagne toast.
If you’re looking for somewhere to dine on New Year’s Day, MC Kitchen and Harry’s Pizzeria will be open for business to help you recover from the evening before. MC Kitchen will be serving up their regular menu along with new additions from their winter menu while Harry’s Pizzeria will be offering their famous pies and sides - a great way to soak up the fun you had the night before.
