Last September the most talked about show during New York Fashion Week wasn’t showcasing the latest designs by Kayne West (sorry ‘ye) but it was the over-the-top unveiling of the Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2016 collection held inside New York City’s Zeigfeld theater.

Picked as the top fashion show of the season by Vogue, it exuded an old-school Hollywood vibe with retro concession stands, custom movie marquees and models walking the “red carpet” runway inside the famed theater. And for one day only this buzzworthy event is coming to the Marc Jacobs store in the Miami Design District to celebrate its new spring/summer eyewear line.

On Friday, April 22, guests at the Marc Jacobs’ store in the Design District can munch on popcorn and sip on champagne served right out of the custom-made containers used at the runway show, take part in an interactive Screaming Queens 2016 photo station, all while being the first people to shop the latest eyewear collection, which features the Crystal Studded Sunglasses that are an exclusive-to-Miami frame that can’t be found anywhere else.

The Crystal Studded Sunglasses are enriched with crystals outlining the lens, defining a floating architecture with a futuristic feel. They are extra-lightweight and feature a cutting-edge, double-wire metal structure and come in two colors: light gold and black.

The rest of the SS16 collection keeps with the film-inspired theme seen throughout the Marc Jacobs show, featuring modern takes on classic silhouettes like the cat eye, aviator and even clip-on options. The nostalgic collection features an array of soft colors and modern details with a fun and whimsical twist that Marc Jacobs' is known for.
