Saffron, sunshine, lemonade — any way you slice it spring is all about yellow. Did you know that in China the color yellow is associated with happiness, glory and wisdom? Let’s borrow that line of thinking because we’re sure that the hot hue, whether mellow yellow or sunny bright, will elicit those feelings, especially your wardrobe’s.

Designers are ready for make a splash this season by taking a monochromatic approach to wearing the hue. Heading to a function and looking for some flair? Rick Owens has two pieces from his newest collection in bright mustard that demands head turns.

Emilio Pucci goes bold and bright with many options to take the trend from runway to real life. For those that aren’t feeling head-to-toe sunny, you can add a pop of the lemon-like color by way of accessories. Try the Prada Plex Ribbon bag, a small yellow clutch with turquoise hardware accents, or opt for the brand’s shoulder bag in yellow that is adorned with palm trees and hut-style home prints.
