Join us for the opening of "Uproot," an exhibition displaying the work of a group of artists hailing from Miami. The exhibition opening will take place on Friday, October 18th between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at S223 Gallery in the Design District's Paradise Plaza. “Uproot” gathers the work of artists dealing with ideas of bodies, land, place, and time. In each artist’s work we find imagined bodies and places where the physical boundaries of landscapes and the human figure are ruptured. Here, radical environments and figures weave together narratives exploring the dynamics of identity in relationship to remote, otherworldly, or distant sites. The show will be open for viewing daily from October 18th to November 8th, 10 am to 6 pm.
