While we are of the school of thought that leopard is always in style, we don’t always see it invade the runways as it did during the Spring 2019 shows. This year’s silhouettes feel fresh and flirty, fun and modern. This isn’t Nanny Fine’s leopard, that’s for sure. We’ve scouted the runways to bring you our favorite leopard pieces this year.
We think Dolce & Gabbana’s sequin leopard midi-length sheath might be our favorite of the season. Sequins + leopard? We’re sold. Doubling down on the trend and pairing with sheer leopard tights take the look next level and we’re here for it. (Pro tip: pair the leopard tights with your go-to LBD to give it a little edge in the new season!) Dolce & Gabbana went hard on the leopard trend this season — they have an entire mini collection called DGLeo!
Our favorite thing about this look is that it’s really a top and skirt! We’re all about multi-functional pieces and love that you can mix and match the pieces with other items in your wardrobe. Pair the Alice + Olivia accordian pleat maxi skirt with a white button down or simple cami for day. We also love the idea of styling this flirty halter top with leather skinnies or your favorite jeans for a more casual vibe.
We love a good going out top and this sheer chiffon leopard Saint Laurent blouse is perfect for date night! Pair with jeans and sky high heels or dress it up with a sexy miniskirt and boots for a little more vavavoom. Red lipstick optional.
If you’re looking for a pop of print, we say grab a sweet leopard bag to make a big statement. Wear it as a crossbody or remove the chain and carry it by the top handle. This roomy Miu Miu calf hair bag makes a glam finishing touch to any outfit. (After all, leopard is a neutral!)
Take a walk on the wild side in these show-stopping thigh high boots by Christian Louboutin. These pony hair beauties are studded with the iconic Louboutin gold spikes and crafted in the style of the best selling Follies line; gently curving with the foot set on a 100mm stiletto heel.
